We are fortunate to share one of our very own specialty meat and seafood companies, Fin’s, right here in the Edmonton area. Fin’s Select Meats & Seafood was acquired by Sysco to be one of its many specialty companies. It attracted Sysco because it shared many of the parent company’s core values, including a focus on customer-centric service, a dedication to superior food safety, and an uncompromising approach to product quality. 

Fin’s provides a unique and abundant supply of fresh, wholesome products to our customers, including a wide variety of freshly cut steaks from Alberta beef and fresh-caught, sustainable seafood from both sides of Canada’s coastal waters. FreshPoint, located in Vancouver, is Sysco’s central produce sourcing pivot and processing facility. As Sysco Canada’s Western Canadian produce hub, it provides a continuous supply of fresh produce to all Sysco sites in Western Canada. FreshPoint’s history is older than Sysco itself. This 80-year-old business began as the Pacific Produce Company and thrived due to its dedication to quality and safety standards. Like Fin’s, it also shared Sysco’s core values, and its vision aligned easily with ours: to be our customers most trusted and valued business partner.
